Phesheya - SunGard the duel continues

We have really pressed on all night, reef, unreef, reef, keeping the
maximum amount of canvas we could at any stage, bearing off for speed
but still trying to track up onto the leaders sailing on Phesheya
Racing... we have them now to port, around 2 miles off so we did manage
to gain quite a lot of ground overnight. This is now a drag race to the
finish and normally they are marginally faster then us so i would be
surprised if we did manage to sneak ahead, more likely it will be
another very close finish in Barra.

Once again Class 40 is proving to be the most exciting sailing i could
imagine, offshore racing neck and neck, on the second leg, after 36
hours we are still in sight of each other. The others are really not far
back, at these speeds they will all be in quite fast.

We now have to sail a straight line to the finish, although this is
still 150 miles away, the same as from Cowes to Cherbourg three times!
So anything can still happen, we'll defend our position and keep chasing
Phesheya but it's time to download another weather file as the wind has
been shifting to angles we did not expect and may throw out the hard
work.
